Community Support Network (CSN) Fiji works with rural communities to achieve sustainable development through Education, Health, Environment, Sustainable livelihood and Volunteerism projects.   Click on their link and read more about their valuable work!

Assist CSN in supporting Fiji communities by donating items such as children’s and adult’s clothes, toys, books, pens, colouring pens, educational materials that could be used for children from 2yrs to 5yrs, kitchenware, towels, bed sheets, stationery, etc.

It’s easy!  Just fill in the items you wish to donate and your details.  The donations can either be collected at your doorstep or dropped off at CSN storeroom for distribution.

Hilton Organization- Fiji Crippled Children Society

The Fiji Crippled Children's Society - Suva Branch, has been in operation since the early 1960’s. The Society was developed to provide education and related services to Children with disabilities in Fiji. Today, known as the Hilton Organization, it continues to provide services not only to children in Fiji, but other neighboring Pacific Islands as well. With a total registered caseload of 130 children currently, the Organization operates through The Hilton Special School, The Hilton Early Intervention Centre and the Hilton House Hostel.

Mobile Kindy is a group of dedicated teachers that go into the settlements three times a week and provide early childhood education for free. Education extends to providing basic hygiene and nutrition advice to the communities. Importantly, as part of the mobile kindy's 'whole child' approach to teaching, a group of volunteers donate milk, fruit and a meal to distribute to the kids at the end of the sessions.

Ways that you can get involved:

• Milk Drive!!! - provide a cup of milk to every child at every session and donate a carton of milk. 

• Lunch:  provide a lunch of sandwiches (with one protein content). Last year, there were approximately 10 volunteers assisting with sandwiches, so the commitment meant providing a meal of sandwiches (for approx 25 little kids) once a term.  The meal can either be delivered to the site (thus enabling you the opportunity to be a greater part of the project and see first-hand how much this commitment is appreciated) or simply delivered to Namadi Heights Little Ones preschool by noon on the relevant session day.    

• Fruit and biscuits: supply fruit (quantity is completely up to you!) each week.

• Goods:  To enable the teachers to provide quality education, donations of pens, paper, puzzles and paints are most welcome.  

• Teachers Assistance:  One of the most critical needs of this project is for teachers aides.  You don’t need to have any formal training, just a willingness to assist and some spare time!  If you are able to commit to helping the teachers with the education delivery at any time, please let Analesi know. 

All donated items can be dropped off at the Little Ones Centre on Mead Road in Namadi Heights (right opposite Superfresh).
